The Best Travel Gear for Couples
It’s the month of love and that means we get to share some of our best tips for traveling as a couple. While it may come with its own set of challenges, hitting the road with your romantic sidekick can offer the experience of a lifetime. Keep reading to find out our favorite travel gear for couples.
Scratch-off Map of the World
Travel = Making Memories, which is precisely why we LOVE the concept behind these scratch-off maps! Hang one on your bedroom wall and share in the fun with your partner in crime. These allow you to track all the places you have been and keep dreaming of all that’s left to see. Having one of these around will surely keep those warm fuzzy feelings flowing as you reminisce on all of the memories you’ve shared with your loved ones while exploring the globe.
Matching Journals
Get old school with a set of matching journals the next time you take flight on a new journey. Not only is journaling a great way to relax at the end of long day of traveling, but it is also a wonderful tool for reflection. We think making the commitment to journal “together but separate” (you get us, right?) would be an awesome way to capture two different perspectives of the same adventure. Plus, if you ever want to give your future grandkids something fun to dig up in your attic one day, then we definitely recommend jotting down some fun tales in one of these!

Ah….packing….the joy you bring. No, we are not being facetious. These TEFLPros gals are pretty darn high on the OCD scale. However, we will say that not all of our past boyfriends have shared such trait. In comes The. Packing. Cube. Whether you are weird like us and fitting things into even rows and cubes brightens your day, or you are packing for two in a suitcase for one – these little gems are lifesavers. They are must haves in our book.

Hmmm. Space saver bags? Not the most romantic of choices to include in a couples travel gear blog. Ah, but they are so much more than space savers. We like to use these guys for dirty clothes bags while we travel. They compress everything down and seal it up along with all the stinky odor. When traveling with a significant other, we would not leave home without a set of these. No one wants to share a travel bag with the person who just crams their dirty clothes in with their clean clothes (yuck!). We also feel like these might just save you from some “post long travel day” arguments too.
Kindle
Every couple needs some alone time. Why not spend that time doing something good for yourself like reading? Taking a Kindle along for the ride is one way we have managed to do this. We can load it up with a few of our favorites and toss it into our travel bag. This one above is our new fav because it’s also waterproof.
